Some bloggers in LA had mentioned having their wall charger installed and inspected right away, I wonder if LA is pushing EV charger installs to the top of their priority, dont see that happening that fast around here.
This is the 40 Amp charger, I asked the electricians about this and was told all they had recieved for New Jersey was 40 Amp chargers, I was a bit surprised, I know some people in NJ have the ability to use a 60 Amp charger and it seems a real shame not to use them where possible.
Way to go, Robert. Have they told you what # MINI E you will be getting?
ReplyDeleteI got my contract today.
Robert, I got my wall box installed last Friday. along with an additional meter port for PSE%G to track seperate usage. Are you a PSE&G customer? didd they do the same for you?

Tim,
ReplyDeletedont have a number yet, will post it here when I do.
Michael,
I am a JCP&L customer, though I use Community Energy as my 100% renewable energy supplier. I had heard that an extra meter would be something I'd have to pay for on my own. Is PSE&G providing this free? Did your electrician tell you about this, or was this something you had to initiate?

I just got notification I am #161 and get the car on Saturday. Cable installed and approved (I assume). This will truly be a long weekend.....driving!
ReplyDeleteRobert,
ReplyDeleteI did not have to pay for this. The electrician installed the port as part of the charger install and PSE&G is scheduling to come out t install the actual meter. I did have to pay $1500 for a panel replacement because my panel was full, but no charge for he meter
Adam,
ReplyDeleteWhere are you located?
Adam,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, have a great time this weekend, and be sure and give us a report when your not busy driving your new MINI E
Michael,
Good deal you got with the meter, I wish I had one to judge the energy usage, but I wasnt going to pay for it myself.
